Pastificio Garofalo continues its adventure in the film world and is now involved in Woody Allen’s new film, To Rome with Love, produced by Gravier Productions and Medusa Film, on release in Italy from 20 April. To Rome with Love is the story, set in Italy, of a series of personages, Americans, Italians, resident and tourists and of their adventures. The film stars Woody Allen, Alec Baldwin, Roberto Benigni, Penelope Cruz, Judy Davis, Jesse Eisenberg, Greta Gerwin and Ellen Page. “Since we produced our first short film in 2008, our link with the film world has certainly grown and become even stronger and essential for our style of communication,” says Emidio Mansi, Sales Manager for Italy at Pasta Garofalo, adding, “We are really happy to have been able to make our small contribution to the latest film by a director like Woody Allen and to further strengthen our presence in Italian and international films.” For the producers, Garofalo was a natural choice for this film, “Pasta Garofalo represents top Italian quality in the world of good food. The passion and commitment of the company for the cinema world make it without a doubt the ideal partner,” said David Nichols, one of the co-producers of the film. With the Garofalo firma il cinema project, the company is directly involved, sponsoring the production of five short films, two of which won important awards. In the first episode, Woody Allen and Judy Davis are a couple travelling to Rome to meet the future mother and father-in-law of their daughter who has decided to marry an Italian. In the second episode, Roberto Benigni is a man who is erroneously mistaken for a film star and is forced to run and hide throughout the city; in the third, Alec Baldwin is a Californian architect visiting Rome with friends, while in the fourth and last episode Alessandro Tiberi and Alessandra Mastronardi are a young couple visiting the members of their respective families, some of whom have got lost in the alleys of the city.
